The photo shows Margaret Bone and Carolynne Sorrell handing over emergency bags of necessities to representatives of D&G Woman’s Aid at our December meeting. There were also several presents for the women which Woman’s Aid would wrap and present on Christmas Day.  MU had gathered up the gifts from their own members and the congregation whom we thank for the support. At the same meeting members wrote 195 Christmas cards for each prisoner in Dumfries Prison. These are some of the practical ways we share the love of God with others.

Our Christmas Lunch had to be cancelled because of the threat of Covid. We had hoped to hold it instead on Shrove Tuesday, but the venue is not available then. We’ll let you know an alternative date as soon as we can fix one.

The Covid situation also meant that our January speaker had to be cancelled but the good news is that Revd Jim Booth is available to speak about Christian Unity at our 17th February meeting. All are welcome at 12.30, bring your own sandwiches but tea/coffee and cake is provided!

Welcome

When this happens, it’s usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it’s been deleted.
