A reminder that Sunday’s Eucharist begins at 10.15am.

The earlier than normal start accommodates the Royal British Legion Scotland’s wreath-laying ceremony and parade to the war memorial outside of St John’s at 11am that itself begins with two minutes of silence to remember those fallen in conflict.

The service will be attended by civic dignitaries and the Lord Lieutenant of Dumfires, Jean Tulloch. After the conclusion of the Remembrance service, the Eucharist inside St John’s will continue, beginning with a playing of the National Anthem.
